A Hampton, Ill. man has been indicted on charges alleging he embezzled nearly $200,000 from the Wells Fargo Bank branch where he worked.
According to Court records, Nicholas Waldbusser was a service manager for the bank and on several occasions, took cash from his teller drawers. In addition, the indictment says he convinced a teller to also steal cash from her drawer and split the stolen money. Waldbusser would then make false entries in the bank records to hide the thefts.
The indictment goes on to say that Waldbusser used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle that included vacations, alcohol, illegal drugs and even prostitutes.
The thefts are said to have happened between February 2011 through June, 2013.
