New research shows the Quad Cities has the second-highest rate of heart attacks in the country. The highest rate is in the Huntington, West Virginia area. The research bshows that 29% of the Quad cities population have high blood pressure, and 21% are smokers. Both factors contribute to a high rate of reported heart attacks. On the bright side, the Quad Cities scored well in overall health, eating healthy, and in exercising on a regular basis.
