Rock Island County's former nursing home, Oak Glenn has been closed for years. The County still owns the land and rents it out to a farmer. Now that Hope Creek Care is running on financial fumes, the County is looking at selling the land to generate some cash. Selling the land outright would give the County an influx of cash to bolster Hope Creek Care's budget. Right now it loses $3.4 million per year, and the facility will be out of cash in March.
