Illinois Governor Orders New Mask Requirements In Bars, Restaurants

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has ordered a tougher set of mask requirements for the state. The new rules require people who are in bars and restaurants to wear their mask when ordering, getting their food, waiting, talking to servers or the host, or any other time when they could expose restaurant workers.

The only real time you can take your mask off at a bar or restaurant in Illinois is if you are eating or drinking.

The governor says the idea is to try and contain the coronavirus in public settings. The rules apply across the state.
