Who would have thought we could find 7th United States Court of Appeals judges who could read the English language?

Not American English, but England's English language of the 18th Century. You see, that is the English that our Constitution contains, except for the more recently composed Amendments to said Constitution.

Wonder of wonders, the judges told Illinois that "keep and bear arms" means just what it meant in 1792. Own and carry arms. Illinois has 180 days from the date of the court decision to allow Illinois citizens to own and carry arms, or the lower court has been directed to enjoin enforcment of Illinois gun laws.

How cool!

Of course, there will be a huge struggle in that mess Illinois calls a State Legislature over exactly what "own and carry" should mean for the lowly serfs who should just obey their betters in Springfield.

One wonders how this will turn out.
