Let's see if the city Mommies and Daddies mean it about "It's not for the money, it's for safety."

Two identical bills, one in the Iowa House and one in the Iowa Senate, would take the money cities make from the red light cameras and put it in the state's road use fund.

OK.

Think of how well repaired and safe our Iowa roads would be. Shoud be a done deal, no argument from Davenport, Muscatine, or Cedar Rapids.

After all, the cities do not do this for the money. They just want the cameras up for safety. The cameras stay up. No money.

Or do you think the cameras might come down?
